Lions Clubs International is a global service organization that was founded in 1917 by Melvin Jones. It is one of the largest and most well-known service club organizations in the world, with the primary mission of serving communities and addressing various humanitarian needs. Lions Clubs International operates in over 200 countries and geographical areas, and it has millions of members.
The Woodbury Lions Club key focus areas are Childhood Cancer, Diabetes, Vision, Hunger and the Environment. Whenever the Woodbury Lions club gets together, problems get smaller and our community gets better. That’s because we serve Woodbury with unmatched integrity and energy. Everywhere we are, we make friends. Friends with children who need glasses. Friends with seniors who don’t have enough to eat. And friends with people struggling with childhood cancer or diabetes. We know it’s hard for one person alone to make a difference but together we get stronger and more effective.
Lions Clubs International has played a significant role in addressing societal needs and making a positive impact on communities worldwide. The organization continues to evolve and adapt its programs to address emerging challenges and serve humanity.
Because of the generosity of our sponsors, golfers and volunteers, we were able to raise enough money to install an AED unit at Ojibway Park in Woodbury!
